Kids Fishing Tuition

We are passionate at Billingford Lakes about getting youngsters into the amazing sport of fishing.  We offer Bronze, Silver and Gold Get Fishing Awards through the Angling Trust, to help take you on the first steps of your angling journey – from the unforgettable excitement of catching your first fish, right through to becoming a more experienced angler who can set up tackle, safely return your own fish and have the correct Environment Agency fishing licence. You can’t easily fit all of this into a short ‘taster session’ so we’ve created a simple three-step programme…

 WE ARE RUNNING 3hr SESSIONS – Max 16 children per session £7.50 per child suitable for 5yrs – u16s

We provide all the equipment and bait needed, this first 3 hour session will get you a bronze award, there will be 3 awards to collect on your certificate Bronze, Silver & Gold.

Photography

We would like to welcome Josh Jaggard Wildlife photographer to Billingford Lakes & Country Park.  Josh has new hides at Billingford, please contact Josh to book. The kingfishers have nested on site for years and now we are opening up a new hide where you can photograph this charismatic fisherman on one of our lakes. 

The lake also gets visits from water voles, little egrets, great white egrets, herons, coots and waterail. 

Key Features:​

  • Customizable Setup: Feel free to bring your own perches and props to personalize your shots. Alternatively, we provide a wide range of perches and natural props on-site, so you can keep your photos fresh and distinctive.
  • All-Day Access: The hide is available from Dawn to Dusk, giving you the flexibility to arrive and leave at your convenience throughout the day. Spend as much or as little time as you need to capture that perfect moment.
  • You also get access to Billingford Fishing Lakes nature walks, so you can split your time between the hide and some lovely walks to encounter other species like egrets, grebes, woodpeckers and many more.

Equipment:  300mm or longer

Food:  Recommended that you bring some food.
Toilets: Short walk from the hide in a purpose-built toilet. (only 1 visit per session to avoid disturbance)
