Welcome to Billingford Fishing Lakes, the ideal location for your next fishing trip in Norfolk. With nine well-stocked lakes and a one mile stretch of the beautiful River Wensum, there is a range of different options available to you. With so few venues in Norfolk that can offer both river and lake fishing, especially in such close proximity to one another, this venue is really not to be missed!
From fly fishing to carp fishing, day tickets to overnight fishing; there is something to suit everyone. Despite being in existence for over twenty years, the lakes have rarely been fished; this has given rise to abundant stocks of carp and as most of them have never been caught, you can expect a real challenge for all keen anglers. Details of the latest catches from Billingford Fishing Lakes can be found on our Facebook page here.
The fishing lakes very in size and each have shallow marginal shelves with depths ranging from eight to twelve foot out from the bank to a 30 yard cast. Some 35lb+ specimens have also been reported with a 40.5lb Mirror Carp caught in June 2016. The middle lake is specifically designated for fly fishing and is well stocked with Brown and Rainbow Trout as well as some coarse fish that will take the fly.
A one mile stretch of the beautiful River Wensum runs through the site and ranges in depth from two to six foot. Chubb in the 3-5lb range are most prolific but the river is also home to Dace, Trout, Pike, Roach and Barbel.
